[2.0.3]-Best Option For Playing AVI Videos With Sound?

Hi,

What is the best free cross-platform(Windows/Linux/Mac OS X) option for playing short AVI videos with sound?
We need something simple, cross-platform, and stable.

Through some research we only found this:

Would above work good with SDL 2.0.3 on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X?
Perhaps there is something else which would be better?

Thanks!------------------------

If you are sold on avi files and ffmpeg, just be aware that there are some
licencing issues with ffmpeg that may making linking/distributing
difficult, or at least from what I recall a few years ago. With that being
said, ffmeg is a really awesome tool.

Another great tool that you may find more permissible is ogg vorbis, but
this will also require you to change video formats.

Just my 2 cents.On 12 Apr 2015 18:06, “JeZ-l-Lee” wrote:
