Hey all.
I 'm proud to announce you another galaga like : GNUfo.
You could find at this adress
http://jeuxfr.free.fr/Ufo/
ScreenShot:
I use the SDLSprite library ( include in my archive ).
http://membres.tripod.fr/edorul/Other.htm
Of course, it needs SDL.
All sprites have been extract from free animated gif.
I know there’re bugs, so if you find some please report to me.
Please let me know what do you think about it.
PS: I’m french , so my english is not good :(.

Wow, it looks EERILY like my UFO in the game I was making (Called, “UFO”
)
Don’t worry, it’s not a Galaga/Space Invaders style game, though

Where’d you get it? (FYI, my UFO I rendered in PovRay … hand coded
3D, bay-bee!)

It’s better than most Americans’ french!

I had to add an #include <string.h> to get it to build (strcmp() was
undefined), but it worked fine after that.
Looks nice - groovy tempo!

I have searched a long time to find them, search gif animated gallery
free,
you should find what you want.
After you could extract images with gifsicle

Could you give me your POV source, so I could make other ufos sprites ?
There’s no ressource web page for free sprites , do you know one ?
charles.
Actually, I have been trying to start one for a while now… but haven’t had a
chance to finish the backend source code. (the site will be
http://www.geekcomix.com/freeart/ and powered by
http://www.geekcomix.com/noink/)
Since I am a doodler (and one-time cartoonist) I’ve often wanted to have a
place to stick my doodles for others to use. If anyone else is interrested in
helping me make this so, please contact me /outside/ of this list.On Thu, 22 Feb 2001, you wrote:

Well, it doesn’t look exactly like the one you used… but FYI, the
PovRay code (and a fun little makefile to build all the sprites)
will be included with UFO. (Heheh… open source rendering code :))
