Announcing my humble new project

Hello all:

I would like to introduce my new humble project. It is a 2D/3D game engine.
Right now I am concentrating in the 2D/General features before I move to the
3D features (This will probably take a long time). The project website is
easyge.sf.net . Any comments, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also I
would like to thank the SDL(including SDL_image etc) authors and
contributors and all the members of the mailing list. Specially those who
took the time to read/answer my questions. Thanks all.–

Hi Rogelio,

Excellent, a fantastic idea for a project!

I have been looking for an API for the games I create with SDL, so I wrote my own, but it’s very basic. I am sure many SDL users will benefit from your work,
I know I need a decent animation driver as mine sucks!

One BIG advantage would be the inclusion of AVI/MPEG playback. I have yet to see a library, using SDL, that does this “out of the box” for Windows and I just don’t
have time to write one :frowning:

Ed,

Thanks for your kind words. One of the goals of the project is for me to
implement video playback and output that will work on multiple platforms
just like you have mentioned and support for various formats to. It is going
to take long before I get there but I will. One more time thanks for your
kind words. On Sat, Sep 6, 2008 at 4:00 PM, Edward Byard <e_byard at yahoo.co.uk> wrote:
