Announcing SDL 0.8d

This is primarily a stability release.

Changes previously announced in CVS releases:
Removed precalculated alpha blending acceleration
MMX and C optimization for
(8bpp --> 16/32bpp and 32bpp --> 16/8bpp) blits.
Test programs use the handy GNU Makefile
Automatic conversion to the hardware audio format

New!
Now traps floating point exceptions in the SDL parachute.
Put the audio callback locking routines back in.
Minor Win32 audio bugfixes
Minor DirectX windowing fix
Minor X11 input polling fix
Preliminary support for gcc on BeOS (not yet mature)
SDL under X11 now uses backing-store to keep your images fresh!

And finally…

   Yes!  You can cut and paste with SDL applications!
