Cool! I’ve just updated its FreeBSD port - it works almost OOB. No more need to
tweak threads support to get it working with our pthreads.

Good work, Sam, please keep doing! We are waiting impatienly for the next major
stable 1.1 release.

How is that going? What kind of performance are you getting?–

Great! Does it support multiple SDL windows too?
Because this really seems to be the only thing
I need before I can implement a full-fledged
SDL backend for my GUI toolkit in ML

The performance is really good on supported cards.

See ya!

Any numbers? System to video memory blitting? Video to video memory
blitting? The same program running in Windows with DirectDraw (on the
same machine)?–

I haven’t done benchmarks yet, but I imagine that since you’re using
the hardware blitter directly, that you would get performance similar
to that of DirectX for video to video blitting.

See ya!

Hey, everyone! I’ve just uploaded version 0.24 of Angel Wars, a space
shooter I’m writing (with the help of an artist friend) using SDL and
SDL_mixer. You can get it at:

http://angel-wars.sourceforge.net

(Follow the link to the project page near the bottom.) If anyone takes
a look, please tell me what you think! We were in the top 10 most
downloaded projects on SourceForge yesterday and yet I’ve still gotten
next to no feedback.

TIA! Oh, and BTW, I’m rather new to all of this, so please forgive me if
I’ve broken any rules or said something stupid. :)-----
