Announcing SDL_ttf 2.0.7

SDL_ttf 2.0.7 is now available!
http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_ttf/

Changes since the last release:

  • Fixed memory corruption problems with some italic fonts
  • Updated libtool support for new mingw32 DLL build process
  • Fixed glyph metrics for bold style fonts
  • Fixed compilation with newer versions of FreeType
  • Fixed crash when opening a font file that doesn’t exist
  • Added .la files to the development RPM, fixing RPM build on RedHat 8

It’s there on server, just not linked on webpage. Copy the link to
2.0.6.tar.gz and change number to 2.0.7, than try to access file through
modified link :slight_smile:

Does this version of SDL_TTF work with Freetype-2.1.8 and Freetype
2.1.9, or only Freetype-2.0.9 ?

I ask as I can call TTF_Init successfully using Freetype-2.1.8, however
a subsequent call to TTF_OpenFont causes an immediate crash.

As far as I know this should work fine. Any reason you don’t use 2.1.9?
Did you try debugging to see what the problem was?
