ANNx2: pygame & win32-libs

Hi again folks. It’s time for my regular set of announcements.

PYGAME-0.9

First, there is a new version of pygame, the python SDL wrapping.
Pygame has been brought up to 0.9. This version adds support for
SDL-1.1.8, along with other various features like line-drawing,
shared surfaces, and cursor loading from XBMs.
You can install from source, RPM, or a Windows Installer
Get to the pygame homepage here; http://pygame.seul.org/

WIN32 PRECOMPILED LIBRARIES

Also, the package of precompiled SDL libraries i keep for windows
has been updated to include SDL-1.1.8. Also fresh to this release
is the new libpng 1.0.9. This package includes everything you need
to compile SDL programs on windows with minimal fuss. Here it is;
http://pygame.seul.org/ftp/win32-dependencies.zip (452k)

Cool stuff, but your README.txt file says you’re shipping "libjpeg - 6b"
however that file isn’t there… Did you link it directly in the SDL_image
library?

BTW, if you’re using VC++ to compile SDL_ttf, would you mind releasing the
project files?

Thanks!–

yeah, the default makefile stuff for libjpeg creates a static
library, this is linked into SDL_image.

yes, i’ll post it tonight when i’m at my home computer.
perhaps it can make its way into a new SDL_ttf release?
