Anybody have a joystick w/ trackball?

Does anyone out there have a device which SDL reports as having a
trackball? I’ve only ever heard of the Apple Pippin controller
having one, and if you can figure out how to get one of those working
via USB, color me impressed.

I’d like to find such a thing for testing, if it’s affordable.

I believe the usual MAME way of setting up a trackball is as a mouse,
which is too bad because I could otherwise pick up an encoder for
arcade controls and set one up.

When the Steam controller rumors were going around (before it was
showcased) there was speculation that it may have a trackball, and
that led to a discussion of several modern controllers that ditch the
face buttons in favor of a trackball, so yes, I can confirm those
exist at least.

No idea where to get one, or if those ever report themselves as
trackballs, but you should be able to find one, knowing that.
