Arts daemon and sdl

Hi folks,

I searched the FAQs, Documentation and th archive but didn’t find an answer.
Perhaps you can help me:

I am running Suse Linux 8.1 with KDE.
The sound system is configured for using the aRts daemon with threaded OSS (
"/opt/kde3/bin/artsd -F 10 -S 4096 -a toss -d -s 5 -m artsmessage -l 3 -f " ).

This works fine for the system sounds and xmms with aRts plugin. Only my SDL
app isn’t able to open the sound device, although I did
" export SDL_AUDIODRIVER=“artsc” ".

When I let KDE choose the config automatically, the system sounds dont work, but
xmms (with oss output) and my app (with SDL_AUDIODRIVER=dsp) work fine, but they
block the device until they are finished, that means I can either run xmms OR my
app OR any other app that produces sounds.

Any idea, what went wrong? Is there a possibility to get debugging info from SDL?

Greetings,
Yves

Ahhh sorry… problem is solved. I just had to disable the full duplex mode…
