Hi everyone!

First of all thanks about helping me everytime I need your support.
This time I need to know if there is an external library can be used
together with SDL to play videos encoded into avi format.

I followed the link you’ve suggested me but I couldn’t find what I am looking
for.
I need an external library already compiled for Windows like SDL_Mixer etc…

There isn’t one

If there was, I’d be using it :slight_smile:

ffmpeg is the closest you’ll get but you need to build it and write a ton of code for it to work.

Too much hassle. This should have been a GSOC project…

“ffplay” will do it.

First Build the SDL library and FAAD (AAC decoder).

Then build FFMPEG by linking the libraries of SDL and FAAD.
