AVI/MPEG playback

Hi Rogelio,

Excellent, a fantastic idea for a project!

I have been looking for an API for the games I create with SDL, so I
wrote my own, but it's very basic. I am sure many SDL users will
benefit from your work,
I know I need a decent animation driver as mine sucks!

One BIG advantage would be the inclusion of AVI/MPEG playback. I
have yet to see a library, using SDL, that does this "out of the
box" for Windows and I just don't
have time to write one :-(

Ed------

I’m going to spam my own project once more, since I wrote a library using SDL which does AVI/MPEG out of the box

I’m having a lot of troubles getting this stuff to compile @ win32, otherwise I would have released version 0.9.0.

Anyway, you can find the latest version in SVN, the address of which you can find at http://www.arjanhouben.nl/SDL_ffmpeg/

Awesome

the pygame.org project would like to use this. Especially if it gets
working on multiple platforms.

Does it support RWOPS for files? On Mon, Sep 8, 2008 at 8:32 PM, Arjan Houben wrote:
