BeOS/OpenGL/SDL

Hiya.
I posted the results of ATI Radeon and Voodoo2 benchmarks on BeNews:
http://www.benews.com/story/3587
BeOS has indeed the strongest OpenGL implementation along with nVidia’s and
SGI’s.

So, any chance to see the LokiGames publishing for BeOS too? The userbase
has grew bigger since BeOS is now free to download and the API rocks…

The SDL BeOS implementation is been worked on as we speak from a third party
BeOS developer to match on speed/efficiency the Linux one.

Thanks,

Well, I can’t speak for Scott, but I don’t know of any plans at the moment.
There’s certainly no technical reason why we wouldn’t be able to port to
BeOS. If you want to approach him directly, send me a private e-mail and
I’ll give you his address.

VERY cool. Any idea when I’ll be able to integrate the code?

Jonathan Belson who has replied to this forum in the past is doing the
optimizations.
Jonathan, any idea? ;^)

As for Loki porting to BeOS using the new SDL, I would just point you to
davej at be.com who is the BeOS producer manager. If you port to BeOS as well
as Linux, your games will be able to run on BeIA too (Internet Appliance
OS), as it is code compatible with BeOS.

You’ll have to talk to Scott Draeker directly about this. Send me e-mail
privately, and I’ll send you his address.

I’m looking forward to seeing this. Any progress so far?

Thank you for replying Sam.
I am sorry for my post though. It was somehow re-sent twice (it was
originally sent a month ago, and then, it appeared again 8 days ago out of
nowhere)!!
