Well, I wanted to use some different fonts without
(a) worrying about TrueType patents, or (b) spending several
days squinting at bitmaps in xpaint, so I wrote the
bitmapped-font-handling library I mentioned earlier.
It does fixed & proportional spacing, scaling, colorization,
more. And best of all, now I can edit my fonts in
emacs…

C++, built/tested under Linux only so far. Should build
in VC++ without much ado.
