Hello,

Is there any way to change the blending mode in SDL so that you can do more
than alpha? Is this a proposed feature of the future?

Possibly. The number of combinations of possible blitters is already
staggering, but it’s certainly something that could be considered for
a pure blitting library on top of SDL, or the next generation API for
hardware that supports different blending modes.
