C++ SDL Suggestion

Ok I apparently started quite the conversation about this topic when I
started this thread.

I suggest we do the following:

A) Get a Sourceforge account going for this.
B) Pick out people to work on this project.
C) Get the discussion off of this list. (This list is nice because we have
been able to keep traffic relatively low).
D) Get our butts going on it. (Delegate what needs to be done)

I would even go so far as to suggest a separate SDL++ IRC channel on
irc.openprojects.net.

The SDL channel isn’t often busy but we don’t want to bog it or this
mailing list down with only SDL++ specific questions. Yes they ultimately
are SDL questions but we like our SDL and the way the community is now so
lets not spoil it.

I have some other projects to work on currently but I would be glad to act
as a liason to answer questions and perhaps put up a website for this
project. I don’t know how much coding I can do right now but I would like
to write some of it eventually.

I can start the sourceforge account as well. I will set up a mailing list
for this project and mail the address to anyone interested by posting it
here.

Thanks for the interest!!!

Excellent. I’m in…go ahead and make a sourceforge project and we can
proceed from there. =)On Mon, 26 Jun 2000, Dave wrote:

I believe it should be ready today… More later… (I am at work!)

Nah, use the #sdl channel. We aren’t that busy:)

We also have sadistic reasons to want more people in the channel.

And that sadistic reason is to make sure that we keep the record for
the highest number of ops in any one channel
