Checking SDL_Image with configure?

I’ve tried

AC_CHECK_LIB(SDL_image, IMG_Load, [have_SDL_image=yes])

but it doesn’t work with me. I have done make install
with prefix set to my $HOME/local directory. I have
LD_LIBRARY_PATH set so that libraries work.

Detecting SDL with configure works fine, SDL_Image
does not

Try using
AC_CHECK_LIB(SDL_image, IMG_Load, [have_SDL_image=yes], , $SDL_LIBS)

if that doesn’t work, you should take a look at the configure.log. It
should tell you why the linking didn’t work.

check your config.log carefully to see why it doesn’t
