I just downloaded SDL today to see it in action, and so I decided to use one of the (very convenient) test files that is included with it. I try to compile testwm.c and I get the following errors:
C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SDL-1.2.5\test\testwm.c
[Warning] In function void HotKey_ToggleGrab()': 93 C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SDL-1.2.5\test\testwm.c cannot convert
bool’ to `SDL_GrabMode’ for
[Resource Error] no resources
C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\Makefile.win
[Build Error] [SDL_Test_private.res] Error 1
Hi,
How did you install SDL? (I mean where did you install it, did
you use SDL pack that come with dev-cpp?)
Easiest way to get started using sdl with devcppis to download
and install
the SDL dev pack available on www.bloodshed.net

I downloaded the .zips available on libsdl.org, as I didn’t know there was a
Dev-C++ package available. Now that you brought it up, though, I’ll
definately install that and see if it gives me any better luck. :)> ----- Original Message -----

As an update, installing both the package and Cygwin fixed the problem.
