I’m compiling SDL using mingw32 on Windows.
If i compile sdl i will get a 3.27 MB (3,356 kb) dll.
But the normal dll (the one you can get from www.libsdl.org) is only 220 kb.
Why does this happen?

Are you doing a debug build?

maybe are you statically linking?
I thought that first, too.

You’re still getting debug symbols. Is there any reason you need to release
with a DLL that you compiled yourself? i.e. have you made any changes to SDL
that you’re shipping with your game?
