Confused S.D.L. game programmer, HELP…

Hi,

I am new to S.D.L.

I was given the following web page URL:

When I asked about reading mouse status with S.D.L.
Looking through this online function list,
I notice that there are some new functions
including mouse status and file input/output operations too.

When I download and read the official S.D.L. help
http://www.libsdl.org/docs.php (http://www.libsdl.org/docs.php)
I do not see these new functions???

I am using the current 1.2.9 S.D.L. for the PC Windows platform.

Are these new functions usable in S.D.L. 1.2.9 ???
If YES, the why are they not included in the official help ?

(I need a downloadable complete function list, is this available somewhere?)

Hello there,

If you did that game, then you understand how to process keyboard events…
Mouse events is just more of the same.

You probably have something like a while(SDL_PollEvent(&event)) somewhere,
right? Just add the extra cases for mouse. Just “steal” the code from this
little SDL intro program of mine (its public domain):

Joysticks can be a bit more tricky, since there are more cases, depending on
the joysticks you want to support, but they use the same system.
