Contributing anything

Hey,

I’ve been looking around for a project to try and contribute to, and I
figured since I am using SDL, why not start with that?
I am familiar with Windows, Linux (Ubuntu and Redhat mostly), and have done
a little bit with Windows CE. I took a look around
at the libsdl.org site, but didn’t really see much of a roadmap or anything
to lead me to one part of it or another.
So, if I wanted to contribute, hopefully on an ongoing basis, where would it
be wanted the most?
Any particular platforms or anything? I’m willing to do testing/coding or
whatever else will help out.

I am not too familiar with OpenGL (but want to learn) and I have been
working with DirectX for about three or four months now so I am not
completely unfamiliar with 3D programming.

Best regards,
Casey

The best thing to do is do testing and write up examples for the SDL 1.3
API. There’s also a TODO file in the SDL 1.3 directory that you can take
a look at if you want.

You can grab the latest snapshot from here:
http://www.libsdl.org/tmp/SDL-1.3.zip

Thanks!

Will definitely start taking a look. Would it be better to just grab the
snapshot, or the latest code from SVN?

The snapshot should be fine.

See ya!

Might I add that good documentation is often overlooked, but generally
very useful?

Thanks,
