Diff SDL_ttf 1.0.2 to 1.2.1

Hi!

Once upon a time, i wrote a simple app that just wrote text using SDL_ttf.
It just worked perfect with SDL_ttf 1.0.2

Now I tried the new SDL_ttf 1.2.1 and didn’t change my source. The output
is now smaller. Then I added 10 pixels to the fontsize and the size was
right. But the spacing between the text lines are too big.

What have i done wrong? Is this an error in 1.0.2 or is it an error of 1.2.1?
I’m using Freetype 1.2 with both versions of SDL_ttf.

I could not see a reply on the SDL mail list.

I diff’d the 2 tarballs and found out, that the low level rendering stuff
changed. I don’t know, what version I should trust. I only use 1.0.2 for my
app, because nobody could answer my question.

I found the exact same problem, with the font size having to be
increased and the line spacing being too big.
I am having to use the 1.0.2 library for one application and 1.2.1 for
another!!

I should port my app to 1.2.2 in the near future, because there is several
new stuff (no mem for spaces, …) in 1.2.2, but I really wanna know what
happened to SDL_ttf. Anyone?? ;-)>
