I realize this is a loaded question, however it’s more for my piece of mind
over anything else.
In SDL 1.2 it was quite easy to setup a DirectX instance (compared to pure
win32 calls). Is this functionality still possible in 1.3? SDL made my use
of DirectX (for classes) a hell of a lot easier, and I wasn’t using as much
boilerplate.
It should be just as easy. You can still get the window handle and
use it the same way you did in SDL 1.2. If you run into problems,
