I think these files are autoconf and automake files.
No. These are scripts; they can not be converted automatically.
Are you aware that this is an SDL list? Some people have an allergy to

Sorry, this thread was suppose to be part of a previous SDL-related project
problem thread. Sorry for started a new thread which is totally apart seperatefrom my SDL-related problem thread… =(
