Error Compiling SDL 1.3 (haptic error 100% fixed)

Hello,
It seems like it’s defining the GUID twice, just in case I tried moving
the INITGUID (i don’t think i put that there) to only the joystick part.

Try applying this patch, probably won’t work but you can never know.
DirectX isn’t my specialty as you can tell :). It just seems like a
sort of gigantic hack.

Edgar,

Thanks for the patch. That solved the problem. So all I had to do was get the
newer directx and to apply that patch, removing the dup define.

SDL compiled fine, a few warnings, but nothing to worry about I guess. But when
I try running the tests, I get “There is no current renderer” as it fails.

But that has nothing to do with compiling SDL, nor the haptic error I was
receiving. So I may start another thread asking about the error.

Any chance we can get that patch applied to the repository, and maybe include
information about downloading the directX 9.0c like I mentioned earlier into a
FAQ in case someone else has the same problems?

Thanks again for your help!

Hello,

Don’t worry, I’ll apply the patch. About the directx stuff downloading,
the docwiki might be a better place or something like that. Not too
sure about that.
