Fbcon & SDL question

Hi everybody,

I’d like to know if I can run SDL without fbcon, just using vesafb or
matroxfb driver?

I’ll try to build a kernel without support for consoles, just virtual
terminals. Since I can run X on start-up (yet I don’t know if it needs a
terminal for this), I thought why couldn’t I run SDL without fbcon? Would it
be possible to port SDL to vesafb or matroxfb or those to drivers don’t work
without fbcon?

vesafb and matroxfb are fbcon kernel drivers. They work fine. :slight_smile:
