Flickering Fullscreen

Hi, this is my first post :slight_smile:

I am having trouble with flickering in fullscreen mode.
These are the parameters I use: SDL_DOUBLEBUF|SDL_FULLSCREEN|SDL_HWSURFACE
1024x768 and 32bpp. I am on W2K and my graphics card is a Matrox G400.

Now, everything works fine except that the screen ‘flickers’ about once
every second. It looks like the flip is delayed or that the previous buffer
shows through. Moving sprites sort of jump backwards for split second.

I do a Fill_Rect of the entire screen after each flip, blit my graphics and
flip.

This ‘flickering’ only happens in fullscreen mode, but both with SW and HW
surfaces.

If anyone knows what I am doing wrong I’d be very grateful for any help.
