I am reading about FreeBSD on the Web and I must say it sounds impressive.
I have a testdrive account on http://testdrive.compaq.com of a snapshot
for freeBSD 4.0 and it seems really nice. I am considering putting
FreeBSD on my old machine once I get my new one.
I was curious if anyone on the list runs freeBSD and if they have problems
with SDL on it…

Hello Dave,
I use SDL and FreeBSD, and I must say that it works as a “alpha” release.
Some libs (specially the “non-latinga” ones) simply does not compile. It’s a
pain to fix those libs.
But overall SDL works greatly on FreeBSD. No sound tho. Since KDE does not
work with sound too, I think that’s a problem with my machine.
If you have any problems, just e-mail me.
Eduardo.
