For historical reasons, SDL uses mouse buttons 4 and 5 to refer to mouse wheel
up and down. This will become a separate event with SDL 1.3, but we’re stuck

As I have noted before, this does not work in Win2k at least. It may or
may not work in 9x, but it’s definitely broken in 2k and possibly XP as

The mouse wheel seems to work fine for me here. (XP Home version) Haven’t
tried any other versions (yet)
