HeavyGear2 Port

sounds good on HeavyGear2.

you mention this is the first title ported from Direct3D to OpenGL.
was this done as a straight port of directx code, or did you create
a “direct3d-ish wrapper for opengl” to take care of much of the
grunt work?

anyways, i guess recently direct3d has made such big steps to be
like opengl that a straight port isn’t as such a crazy idea as
it was back in the days of something like directx3

wow, and the first to use openal and sdl joystick. hopefully all
goes well. thanks again loki for all the great tools

Yes, although it’s moving the other way now. Programmable vertex
shaders, etc. And, yes, I know it’s all being exposed through
extensions, thank you :).

It seems to have turned out very well, in my not so humble opinion
