Look at the Windows API ShellExecute or ShellExecuteEx. It tells you
how to launch an external program that’s associated with a file
extension.

This has nothing to do with SDL, it’s an OS specific thing. But assuming
you’re using Windows, this code will open the default browser:

ShellExecute(NULL, “open”, “http://www.yoursite.com” ,"", NULL,
SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED);

Can be some function this-like in SDL1.3?..Maybe would be useful for some
people.
I think, if i need to make a portable program that opens, i dont know,
another program for making self-updates…

IMO it would be nice to have a function like this.
