How to place window/surfaces when they are created

Hello,

I am working with SDL 1.1.8 on top of a linux-box (RedHat 7.0) with FVWM as
window manager. I need to achieve that, when I create the surfaces to
display my videos, they appear at some give coordinates on desktop.

I have tried with PlayMPEG, but I does not take care of -geometry
parameters… I have browsed through doc and code of SDL, but cannot see how
to peform it…

May anyone help me? Thanks in advance and beste regards
