How to use SDL under BeOS 5?

Hi all,

I’v just install BeOS 5 on my computer and the first thing I wanted to
do was to use SDL, but even if i’ve downloaded the package from the
devolution page, i don’t know how to compile etc

I’ve never worked on Be before so can someone tell me !?

There are BeOS binaries on SDL’s web-site, so I don’t think there’s any
need to compile it…

…however, once you get it one BeOS, I’m not sure how to go about using
it… namely, is GCC avail. for BeOS? (Or, at least, something like
it?) Does anyone know?

I too have BeOS 5 and have been wanting to port my TuxTyping project to
it… But I have no developmental environment for BeOS (and I’ve gotton so
used to having freely available development tools under Linux that I could

just checked on Be’s website and BeOS 5 does come with GCC…
