Installing SDL 1.2.7 on OS X

I’ve been trying to get the SDL 1.2.7 development libraries to install from
the package. Every time I do so, it
starts intalling but when it gets to running the install script it fails. The
only error message I get is that there
were “Errors during Installion, please try again.” Anybody out there know
what’s going on?

I had the same problem. I got around it by using the source distribution and
compiling it (from Fink) and then just build with a Unix build system. Not a
permanent solution if you want Project Builder/Xcode though.
