Irix?

Who out there is using SDL on an IRIX system?
While I still haven’t successfully installed GCC I plan on using SDL when I get it to work (I would use the compiler that comes with IRIX but it says that it needs a license).
Do we have to build the libraries ourselves? Or do headers and libs come with the IRIX tardist?
Thanks,
Chip

i’ve used and SDL on irix (6.5) no problems. it compiled without any
real problems under gcc. i also got SDL_image, SDL_ttf, and SDL_mixer
going without any trouble.

i’ve not tried the tardists. they likely work, but i didn’t need to try
them. if worse comes to worse, i suppose i could gzip them up and send
them to you.

I have used SDL from the tardist without problem under 6.5. Caveat: the
tardist contains only the N32 binaries; if you need O32 or N64, you will
have to install from source. The tardist also contains the headers and
the man pages.

I have also used SDL installed from source, but not with GCC (we do have
a MipsPro license).
