Joke of the Day

Has anybody seen the “Joke of the Day” on the SDL website?

Is it worth keeping updated?

See ya!

Is work involved? Don’t you keep it updated by a script?!–

I see it when I reload the API docs but have to admit not always stopping
to read it.

Is it worth keeping updated?

If there’s any real work involved I would not object to eliminating it.
If it’s easy enough to keep up I guess it’s fun for new people to read
when they come to the site.

Well, they’ve made me laugh a few times, and as I am seriously pro-laughing, I

How about posting them to the list instead? I usually check my email more
times than I check the web. :)On Fri, 28 Jan 2000, Sam Lantinga wrote:

Yes, I’ve seen it and think it’s a pretty good idea. They’re all in pretty
good taste, and I sometimes pass it around to a few guys at work and we all
get a little chuckle.

cheers,

Cool, well in that case, it’s worth it.

I do manually add the best of the humor I recieve, so that the quality stays
high. The last thing I want on the SDL home page is more annoying mail trash.

Thanks!

That must have been where I got the “Q: So what causes that
noise? A: I can’t tell you - you’re not a monk” joke that
I spent half an hour telling to my wife, and for which I got a
larger-than-normal dose of arsenic in my dinner…

I like it anyway…

You could just dump it between

tags. But I suppose it isn’t that
bad to HTML. I still do most of my site manually, although that’s
changing.–

amusing.
