Joystick devices

To the best of my knowledge, joystick support under Windows
95 was achieved, before DirectX, with WinG, DirectX’s predecessor
as multimedia library. So I think there’s only the DirectX option for
implementing joystick support under win32.

It isn’t really hard to do, in fact is simple. And the DirectInput
libs aren’t so big either, the SDK is big because of examples and
documentations, but the libraries are small.

If joystick support in SDL is to be implemented and nobody
else does the win32 / DirectInput version, I’d be glad to do it

We’re about to add Linux joystick support to SDL.

See ya!

Oh, I think this was my post :) It was long ago... Well, I can

start right now with the win32 joystick support, if no one else is
doing it. I am interested  I think I’ll need a current snapshot of the
sources to see how’s the joystick API.On 4 Jan 00, at 13:40, Sam Lantinga wrote:
