Where did you pick a such KewL font!?
Well, which one? Anyway, they’re both based on the same original font,
which I pixeled (*) it in GIMP. Then I increased the spacing (using a
quick hack SDL program), and added a soft, black outline to make the font
more readable when used on top of the game window.
Eventually, I decided I needed a bigger font - so I just scaled the
small, blue font, and played around some with it in GIMP! In the
latest pre versions, I also have a third font, which looks like a
condensed version of the big font. Simple GIMP stretching as well, but
still looks pretty ok.
Anyway, they’re basically just “placeholders that turned out better than
expected”.
(*) graphics creation technique from the home computer era, where pixels
are manipulated manually. Required for small detail to look good in
low resolutions.

A slightly modified version of SoFont, which is a C++ version of SFont.
