(As you might have noticed, I’m back from the embedded Linux expo in
Milan.)
As I should have done at least two weeks ago, I just uploaded the latest
snapshot of Kobo Deluxe. (Former SKobo; an SDL port of Akira Higuchi’s
XKobo.)

Lots of news; apart from the autoconf scripts not working with
Linux->Win32 mingw3 crosscompilers, the user interface is improved
(various new menues/states added, like the “get ready” + countdown one),
and there are a number of other more or less invisible fixes and
improvements.
Depending on which was the last version you tried, you may also note a
significant frame rate improvement on some targets, as well as sound with
"random pitch" (Doom style), reverb and output compressor/limiter.
The real release (0.3) along with Win32 binaries is to be expected
whenever I’ve figured out what went wrong with the autoconf scripts.
Please report success/failure/other results with this snapshot!
Sorry about the dramatic tempo drop there!

Yes, of course! (I always test my URL - but this one slipped through
somehow… grr)
Thanks.
Status update:
The build scripts indeed are broken. Mac OS X demonstrates similar
problems to mingw32. It might be possible to get around it on some
platforms by passing “–disable-dependency-checking” to configure - but
that’s not a fix, and it only “fixes” one of the two problems I know of
right now…
