Mac port interest?

Is anybody working on the Mac port much? I sucked one of the test
programs
into a CodeWarrior project last week and got it to run, but had to make
some
tweaks for prototypes and unimplemented joystick code, once I had gotten
out
of “many .h files with the same name in different directories” hell.

BTW, I’m interested in using SDL to upgrade and simplify the graphics
code
in Xconq (sourceware.cygnus.com/xconq), which has Unix, Windows, and
Mac versions (using different code :frowning: ).

Several people sporadically work on the Mac port of SDL.
I’m sure if you started contributing code, they would come out of the
woodwork. Could you mail me any changes necessary to build SDL 1.1?
I haven’t tried building it on MacOS yet, since all the new features
are not yet implemented on all platforms.

Cool!
The biggest feature missing from the Mac port at the moment is sound.
As soon as that is implemented, and a few other minor things are done,
I’m comfortable calling it a supported port.

See ya!

I’ve got a lot of Mac programming experience (even write a chapter for
the “Tricks of the Mac Game Programming Gurus” book, not that I consider
myself much of a guru). I don’t have a lot of time to spare, but I do
hope to eventually dig-into SDL and work on the Mac side, too.

I recently got OpenSSL working on the Mac, so I appreciate what you said
about the .h file problems.
