MacOS framework on download page crashes

MacOS10.9, 64bit, xcode 5.x. I downloaded what I assume is the latest SLD2.framework from the downloads page. My app keeps crashing shortly after startup. This happens before it enters my code, somewhere during the load-up of the SDL2 library.

Googling the error, I found a hit on stack overflow, which states that the problem is in the version of the framework available for download has this crash in it. You can “fix” this by compiling your own copy.

So how do I go about getting a new version up on to the download page? It seems this problem has existed for more than a year.

Did you download the SDL Mercurial version?
Mac versions of our games work fine, released December Last year.
