MacOS

Hello Guys!

I’ve been away from this list for almost 5 months… I would like to ask
if MacOS support has been added (at least something “workable”)

Thanks!

It’s workable. But building the project file is a pain in the butt.

I’ve posted a CWPro 5.2 project file and several MacOS mods for SDL 1.0.1
at http://www.ambrosiasw.com/~fprefect/SDL-MJS.tar.gz. I think Sam has
applied the changes, but I don’t know if he bundles the projects yet.

On the subject of Codewarrior. Is there any sort of tool that will turn
autoconf files, or makefiles into a code warrior project?

This is semi-off topic, but does anyone know of a free mac compiler that
SDL will work with? I actually say a gcc-1.37 from cygnus that they said
was stable and complete and a gcc 2…something that they said would
work with some programs. I also saw a compiler called ‘harvest c’ or
something like that on the free compiler list, but I don’t know how
featured it is.
The reason I ask is because the only mac access I have is the basilisk
emulator and I don’t want to pay for a compiler that may or may not work
under the emulator. Hmmm, come to think of it SDL for mac probably
requires a PowerPC doesn’t it? I think just about everything nowadays
requires a PowerPC. Oh well, as I said before BeOS will be free in march
so I guess if I can’t play with the mac OS I can make do with four OS’s
or so

I don’t know for sure that it will work, but Apple makes MPW
freely-available nowadays. Poke around at their website and grab a copy.

Thanks, it doesn’t seem to work with the Basilisk II emulator just yet,
perhaps it will one day though.
