Mail server

The list server seems to have gone berserk. I’m getting up to 6 copies of every single message.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on and how to resolve it?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not seeing that. (Seeing that. seeing that… seeing…)

Yeah, I have the same problem.

One arrived for the last time 28 hours after it was originally posted.

And they come out of order too.

I got Bill’s reply but didn’t get Mason’s original post yet.

Doubtful. I’m not receiving multiple copies of any of my normal mail; just stuff from the SDL list.>________________________________

Me neither,

but we are both on Yahoo and we are both affected. What I meant is a problem between the list and Yahoo.

We’ll see who else has that happening to them.

Is anybody else affected?

Is anybody else using Yahoo and does not have this issue?

Hello !

The list server seems to have gone berserk. I’m getting up to 6
copies of every single message.

I am using my own Postfix Installation
and i don’t get multiple copies most of the time.

Only sometimes i got a mail twice, that was when the
user was using “Reply to All” with the SDL mailinglist
and not just “Reply” or “Reply to the List”.

Maybe something that could help is to disable
bounce detection in the Mailman Interface for the SDL
and SVN mailinglist. It may sound strange, but from my personal
experience it causes lots of trouble.

Hello !

Anyone have any idea what’s going on and how to resolve it?

What about your Yahoo Email settings ?

Do you forward the mail to some other adress from there ?

One that could help, let Sam or Ryan,
i think both have access to the libSDL server
send you some emails using the libSDL emailserver
or from dreamhost in general. See if that causes any problems.

CU

Nope. I’m not remailing or anything. It comes in, and I read it from the standard Yahoo!Mail web client.>----- Original Message ----

Hello !

It happens over time, but so far I seem to be getting multiple
copies of all of them.

From earlier days i still have a Yahoo Mail account.
I have just subscribed to the SDL mailinglist with this account.
Hopefully i will have the same problem as you have.

CU

Hey,

from what I see in the headers, it seems to have the same timestamp until it gets from zapata.dreamhost.com to frida.dreamhost.com. Then the message is received by Yahoo’s MTA at different times from frida.dreamhost.com. Could be a problem outside of the libSDL team’s domain.

I just compared two messages from Re: [SDL] Undefined symbols: main …on OSX (Leopard) as I decided to purge most of the other ones.

Hello !

I hope tomorrow is a day full of emails
Actually i am recieving only one instance of every email.

CU

Me too, for now.

But they come in again after a few hours. I don’t think I receive all of them in multiple copies, but a lot of them.
