Mailing list archive

Hi all -

Just a quick note - I’ve set up a hypermail archive of this list for my
own reference at: <URL http://www.greendragon.org/sdl/>, but of course
all of you can use it too.

I’ll be adding some features to it, like a search index and monthly
rotation of the messages. Right now most messages since the first are
archived, along with test messages.

If anyone has a copy of all the messages sent to the SDL list in the past,
I’d be happy to add them to the archive/search engine.

Regards,
Erik–

I was wondering if you guys wanted a mailing-list archive set up?

I was thinking about writing a cgi that would read the archives that ezmlm
(the mailing list manager that I’m using), and make a browsable archive of
it.

If anybody thinks that this would be useful, let me (or the list) know,
because it will require me to do some programming, which I would like to
avoid if nobody wants it.

Currently, the only way to access the archive is to send a message to
, where xxx is the message number (this
message will be 108), but this won’t provide for browsing according to
subject line etc.

I think it would be a great idea. That way new members to the list could
look at past topics and ideas and so forth.

See ya!

I’ve got SDL messages going back to 10/18/99, but a slow connection. If no
one with a fast connection offers them to you, send me private mail. Thanks
for the archive.

The newsgroup goes as far back as 1999-09-09 and is also a nice quick
way of “archiving” the messages… :-)–

From the SDL web page:

SDL Mailing List

Subscribing to the SDL mailing list:

Send e-mail to majordomo at lokigames.com with the line “subscribe sdl” in
the body of the message.

The mailing list archives can be found at: http://www.lokigames.com/ml/sdl/

The list is also gatewayed to a newsgroup at:

I have a tarball with archives of the old mailing list. Too bad the very first
messages were lost in a disk crash :stuck_out_tongue:

Sam, if you’re intersted, I can send it to you again. On Fri, Jan 07, 2000 at 10:36:13AM -0800, Sam Lantinga wrote:
