MinGW build solved!

I’ve successfully built SDL and the test applications with MSYS 1.0.8,
using the steps outlined in:
http://www.libsdl.org/extras/win32/mingw32/README.txt

Make sure you read the trouble-shooting section before you start! :slight_smile:

This configuration officially replaces my old native mingw32 package.

A matching set of steps for the Cygwin environment can be found at:
http://www.libsdl.org/extras/win32/cygwin/README.txt

I had to fix a conflict between the latest w32api headers and HeadX86.h,
but other than that, the Cygwin build environment works just as well as
the MinGW environment, if a tad slower.

Is there a set of instructions for building an up-to-date mingw
cross-compiler (to run on Linux)?On Sat, May 18, 2002 at 02:11:20AM -0700, Sam Lantinga wrote:
