Moderated?

Is this list moderated? Or why does it take so long for my e-mails to devolution to be sent to all list members?

-Lars

I don’t think it is, seing as how everything not-sdl gets though also.

Maybe it’s that you’re using the “devolution” address? (That still works?)
If you post to “sdl at libsdl.org”, does it go through faster?

And are you sure you’re posting from the same address you’re subscribed to as?

Most lists don’t allow non-subscribers to post.
Some list managers are VERY generous in that they do catch
posts from non-subscribers, examine them, and then post them manually if
they seem appropriate. (eg, aren’t spam  )

Same address, I’m a member. I post to sdl at libsdl.org. Delay ranges from 1 h
to 2 h.

devolution to be sent to all list members?

SDL mailing list

That is odd. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Sam has anything
to say (he runs libsdl.org and the list, obviously :^) )

I am not. And honestly, I can’t remember what list manager(s) I’ve seen
who post for non-members. It’s a fairly rare occurance for someone to
try to post without being subscribed (it’s when they obviously don’t
understand the concept of mailing lists)… err, I guess except for when
something has been Cc’d to a number of lists, one or more of which the
sub’ers not actually subscribed to.

Take care!

This time a delay of just 15 min. Strange. Probably over-loaded smtp server.

I have the same problem. The delay is at least 30 min.
And I don’t think it’s the smtp server, but I haven’t any other guess.On Wednesday 08 May 2002 21:13, Lars Laukamm wrote:
