Movie playback under Windows

subj. Is there some player (except of SMPEG) api which interacts with SDL
to play movie files (like avi or mpg)? Maybe it is possible to make such
API for SDL?
Could maybe somebody tell me opinions about SMPEG under windows- is it in
usable state to include it in the game which should be released in next
week? I want to use it to play two little mpeg’s. Nothing particular…
Are there any alternative ways for this?

Not at the moment, there are a couple of bugs that need to be fixed first.
When SMPEG 0.4 is released, it should work fine on Windows and possibly
BeOS as well.
