I just checked mplayer, they have the same problem:
They can’t use the current resolution to do fullscreen for their videos,
so it’s not possible to profit in a great resolution of better video
filtering technics etc.
Could it be possible to implement a WM function or something like that
to get the current resolution of the window manager?
And perhaps it could be also good to have a function to check if the
program was started in a WM.–
