No video devices found

Hi all, i cant launch sdl aplication because “no video devices found”.
Im trying to execute them from X. (helixcode) and tha DISPLAY environment
variable is set to localhost:0
(i also run xhost + localhost), but appilactions tell me “SDL initializacion
error: no video devices found”.

Why?

which version of X you are running?

i had an similar problem long time ago ( maybe 2 weeks ) und XFree86
4.0.2 and solved it, by enabling the DGA server in the XF86Config
file. I think it was DGA, maybe an another option. could n’t check
at the moment, im running windows here.–
