One last try: menubars

hi everyone,

i’ve looked through the docs of all the sdl widget set libraries and
haven’t been able to find anything that implements a menubar (the
clickable menus usually at the top of a gtk application, like File,
Edit, Help, etc).

i’m about to give up and say that this hasn’t been implemented in sdl yet.

before i give up, i’d like to give this one last try; maybe i missed
something.

does anyone know of any way to create a menubar in an sdl program?

alternatively, is there a way to use gtk and have sdl take over what’s
displayed in a container widget? this is kind of like having my cake
and eating it too. i get gtk widgets and sdl’s graphics capability…

SDL doesn’t do widgets.

Please see http://www.libsdl.org/libraries.html for several add-on
libraries that probably implement what you want.

sorry if i wasn’t clear about this; i know that sdl doesn’t do widgets.

my email meant to say that i DID go through the various widget libraries
and didn’t find anything.

i was asking people just to make sure i didn’t overlook something in the
various librarys’ documentation.

Did you check out the ParaGUI project?

Yes, I would like that for KDE as well.
