OSX build program, error with @OBJCDEPMODE@

I’m trying to compile the latest SDL (As of August 22nd, 2003) off CVS, but
I’m getting an error as soon as I run make. (I’ve already run ./autogen.sh
and ./configure , without any problems)-----

I noticed this was on the CVS page on libsdl.org:
1.2.6: Fixed automake warnings about Objective C dependencies

Has the build procedure for OSX changed?

What version of MacOS X are you using? What version of automake and autoconf
do you have installed?

The current CVS works for me with:
MacOS X 10.1.5, automake 1.4, autoconf 2.50

See ya!

OS X version 10.2.6, autoconf version 2.52, and automake version 1.6.1

I noticed a line in configure.in (near the OBJCDEPMODE) saying:
dnl Of course, hard coding doesn’t work for newer versions of automake

So could it be a problem with a too new version of automake?> ----- Original Message -----

I have that same exact problem. I’m running all the latest software:

Mac OS X 10.2.6
December 2002 Developer Tools w/ gcc 3.3 update
autoconf 2.54
automake 1.6.3

SDL/CVS source
win 32
msys/MinGW GCC 3.3.1
autoconf 2.56
automake 1.7.1

failed to compile many warning in cast conversion and in name unused vars.

but not have the problem of the @OBJCDEPMODE@

Okay, try doing an update from CVS, running autogen.sh and then configure.

See ya!

Configures, builds, and runs fine.

Thanks!> ----- Original Message -----
